ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Coming off the back of the comments from the ever fit Fox Sports FC comentators are the CCM fit enough to charge into the top 6 and give the final series a go?

Excluded injuries - talking about a 90 min ticker here......

Fox Sports FC "The fitness coach Andrew Clarke needs to be possibly pushing the CCM more than what the current training program is delivering"

Not interested in hearing your defending comments a simple YES or NO will do.

Yes they are. As Lawrie said they were fit enough to get into scoring positions - they are just not putting it in the net.

It's a forum, if someone feels they want to support or qualify their views, they will. If you don't want that, set up a poll and lock replies. You won't get much response though because it's a forum - people like to discuss things, not just be told "answer yes or no or don't answer at all".

Personally I think the problems we're having seem to be mental - the concentration and intensity aren't there, and neither is the belief. Consequently we're conceding where we wouldn't have earlier in the season and not scoring where before we might have are the problem. I think other teams have us worked out too. We need more than simple fitness to turn it around.

More than mental, i think its a lack of coaching expertise. Every year (excluding 1) we are close to front runners at xmas and then fall by the wayside. (Even the year we won it)

We are lacking a killer instinct it the final 3rd of the season (ironic much?)and it has been across  different squads. He knows its going to happen but as yet has been unable to do anything about it. Obviously he would have changed a few things coming up to this time from season to season to try and rectify. You would hope so anyway. Is it injuries, fitness, lack of quality? I don't think so.

IMO the team becomes stale around this time.

It can also be argued that when performances drop off in this fashion, it is due to the team being worked too hard on the training track over the first half of the season.

I think in previous year's injuries took a big toll. The difference between the first XI and the second XI was marked. The balance of the squad seems better this year so hopefully we can turn it around.

I don't think that a long preseason is the problem (see SFC record this year) I believe that the Mariners need a different approach to the program that Clarkie sets Ive noted the xmas yips before and it seems that clarkie can get us to 18 games tops and then his short comings (lack of expeirience) come into questioning.
You dont have to bag anyone or call for their heads but 4yrs of the same thing is surely enough.
If there is no change then the results will be the same.
I actually thought we could win the GF  with this team this year but it shows that the key to the side was Doig. We should have bought 2 of him.
How did the wheels fall of after the Melbourne and Fury games??????
