ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Not happy..... Thats the worst feeling in the world losing to the scum up there..... Aloisi was onside saw with my own eyes....... The only thing Breeze did wrong was listen to that f**kwit with the flag......

On a lighter note
I want to congratulate ever single mariners fan that made the trip up there.
Its good to see that the mariners are getting the support they deserve. What they have done for the coast is awsorme.

cheers wasnt a good result up there, but even if we cant get 2 or 3 at bluentongue next game we do however have another life which we rightfully earned. I hope we make good use of it

It is only half time folks, time to put 3 past the scummers in two weeks and bury them into the Bluetongue turf.

The squadron looked non-existant on the telly compared to 3+ bays of full yellow.

won't deny that, we did have numbers.. but the good thing about close away games.. you get the hardcore and jersey wearing bunch. I've heard you've had problems @ home with emos or something along the lines.. we have problems with families not doing their bit

really good to see you guys though

We got ripped for the disallowed goal and even with our stuff ups should have ended 2-1 which would have made a big difference to our direct GF qualification but I think even if we don't get it  we will beat 3rd or 4th after watching them play on friday.

i agree it shouldve ended 2-1 or possibly 2-2 if aloisi got that penalty right. We gotta concentrate on whats ahead of us though

I doubt Gumprecht would have lunged like that if the score was 1-1 or 2-1 for CCM.

It sucks, it really does.

By the way...I'd like to apologise on behalf of all the Mariner fans who had to spend the entire time sitting down. When you guys were all singing "Stand up, for the mariners..." We tried. Oh god, we tried. Then we got abused by all the people behind us telling us to sit down, they couldn't see, blah blah blah.

We were likes "ITS FOOTBALL. GET INTO IT!" and they just abused us some more....

So I apologise.

:(

I know I was in a group that wanted to stand that was right down the front of bay 10 and we kept copping abuse from those behind us. We really couldnt get into it yesterday because of it and I assume that a lot of hardcore mariners were scattered and out of position to really get into it. How I interpret away supporters bay is that its the marinators bay and that again there are plenty of other bays in the stadium that you can sit in if you want to sit down and "enjoy" the game. That is why I hate designated seating as much as that f**kin stadium itself where you cant see anything thats going on in the southern part of it.

Have a good look at yourself Skilbeck...the people who were 'abusing' you were family people with children who had paid good money for allocated seating (they were given no choice where to sit, due to the ticketing).  They came to enjoy and watch the game.  Just how are they expected to do that with you and your group of drunken cheerleaders standing throughout the whole game???  If you expect them to find other seats, tell me where??

Why don't you just go up the back and stand with the main group of Marinators?  Add your voice to theirs and you'll be far more effective than trying to inspire (but ultimately annoying the shit out of) spectators who get a different sort of enjoyment from the game....maybe they don't like you either?

there was no room up the back with the marinators as the entire couple of bays were allocated tickets and we got what tickets we could and therefore we were also "given no choice where to sit, due to ticketing." We weren't necessarily trying to inspire spectators around us, we were just trying to enjoy the game how we normally enjoy it at home in bay 16 as well as inspire our players who do like the support they get from the crowd. Im not blaming "family people" or "spectators who get a different sort of enjoyment from the game" as much as the stadium, the FFA, who do the ticketing for these finals games and the whole idea of ticketing allocation.

this is total bullshit - there were plenty of other places in the ground to sit if you didn't want to join in with the marinators. I know people who were up a few bays because they KNEW what was going to happen in the "away supporter" bays. Unfortunately the families took over and made for a SHIT atmosphere. This is when we get bagged out for not being loud enough. f**k off and sit somewhere else.

Maybe because of the families that had tickets up top kicked people out that wanted to stand. I had to sit on the steps most of the game due to not having any seat.
Yes I agree that they came here to watch the game, but so did we...

:soapbox:
Also, whats the point in bagging out other supporters from your team (as 1 person at the front of bay 11 did most of the game - fair call, the people in front wouldn't listen- BUT, why not use you voice to SUPPORT the team instead, get into the spirit of the game...

The people that should be complained to are the FFA who did the stupidest thing in the way they organised the tickets... How hard was it to have 2 sections of bay 11 and 10? standing (top half) and seated (bottom half) and people chose what section they would like to be in!??!?!

Definitely agree with that...

One of my gripes from last night (apart from a certain twat running the line, and one in the middle), people that came in the last minute and insisted in sitting in there assigned seats.
Prehaps a way around it is to make the "supporters area" General Admission seating.

I was suprised how good the atmosphere was.
You could hear both marinators and squadron on tv which was good.
Good to see ccm travelling in large numbers.
They reckoned 23K was there.
I think that is a load of bullshit.
I have never seen those hills and the top tears of that stadium full.
At least 25K.

That was also a problem in the cove on friday.
Alot of blowins came and made the regulars move because its there seats.
I personally hate assigned seats for everything.
I reckon first in best dressed.
Because you get the real fans in there seats. Not the blowins or late comers how think they have a right.
Kudos to the squadron and marinators, stunning...

there were empty seats in the corporate box, empty seats throughout the reserved areas and a big chunk missing from the ground

i thought the crowd figure was fair

it probably points to newcastle overstating their crowd figure all season
