ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I think our average without the canberra games is about 8600-ish ... at the same time last year it was around 9200 (cant remember exact figures) so slightly down

lots of doom and gloom with crowds but how was that atmosphere in melbourne last week - unreal, this is what the FFA needs to market not gimmicky ads which clearly dont work ala robots and players with kits from all different leagues running around... the fox sports ones are much more emotive and effective

was dissapointing for our last start, dont think the late friday kickoff helps with families and commuters though, i only just made it myself

biggest test is the xmas/new yr period - winning team + holiday season games = larger crowds

Sorry to be pedantic Kev. I've found this site to be seldom inaccurate and it also tallies after doing this seasons myself. Some more of the above differ a little but I didn't worry about a small amount.

Even though Sydney's drop isn't to the level of some of the others, they worry me the most. 12k in a one team city of around 4 mill. at a time of the year when they have absolutely no sporting competition for paying bums and have been close to or at the top all season is, well, if it was a horse it would be shot. Seriously.

It doesn't matter what the Roar do they keep dropping. Last season they did better then the previous but still dropped 25% and this year a further 34/35% on last. The novelty has certainly worn off in a big way.

Con's chooks are coming home to roost. Has more to do with him than his team's ladder position IMO. The population has eventually had enough. He must surely be hurting big time & 'con'templating the sanity of 'con'tinuing to bleed.

As far as I'm concerned, the more Con bleeds the better.

SFC NEED a major, headline marquee to get media cut through and people to their games.

Even winning wont really cut it and I'm not sure Sunday 5pm kick offs do them any good either.

Maybe the big stadiums with little atmosphere detract ?
How can you get swept up in the moment when your in a crowd of 8000 at a stadium that holds 30000.
Even BT could  put every one into the stands and block areas off with high black netting to give the appearance of more people.
