Must win game for both teams.....

Both have some key players out....

Old saying forwards win games, defence win competitions...

I think we will win this one.... but its going to be close... given his selection me thinks Farrell will have a big influence in this game...
Think again...they are playing with at least 13.

Academy defender Dean Larson moves into the Mariners 20-man squad for the first time, coming in for the Frenchman.

The other change will see Zac Zoricich come into the side fresh off making the New Zealand under 23’s national team. This is his first A-League Men’s squad selection, coming in for Maksim Kasalovic.

Rough on Kasalovic for me, and can't see Zoricich making the bench. Larson maybe if Monty thinks he has leapfrogged Windust.

Expect to see Theo get his first start with Beni out and looking forward to it. Hope he takes the spot with a great performance and Beni has to fight his way back into the team.

Also hope we're going back to just pairing Niz with Max/Steele.

We've had a tough run, but Wanderers showed (once again) you have to play every game at minimum with high intensity and confidence. We've been looking flat and pedestrian recently for mine - quick one touch link play has all but disappeared and I don't think any single player is to blame. However I would dearly love to see Tulio recover his form. I think he was massive for us in our successful streak, and I see his and Beni's form as being the biggest changes in our attacking success since Kuol left.

Will be good to have Wenzel Halls on the bench at last. With Moresche and Beni out an Theo presumably in, we are otherwise badly missing experienced firepower off the bench.

He has been named in the last several extended squads and in the full article Monty said he suffered another “hiccup” in training.
We won’t see him.
Can we get a refund on him??

All the better for Theo, I hope he makes the most of it. This pretty much guarantees we'll see Tulio I suppose.

So we've only won 26% of the games Evans has reffed.

And 31% Ams has reffed.

Evans stats in particular clearly favour Sydney teams.

We have replaced a midfielder and a forward with two defenders. Made me think there was possibly a fitness question over one of our first choice defenders. Larson is a LCB and Zoricich has played plenty of LB (comfortable at both RB/LB). Wondered if either McGarry or Faz had picked up a knock and was in doubt.

Probably because we are going back to our 2 man midfield and most likely Steele goes back to the bench
Then either Zoricich or McGarry can push forward if Theo needs a sub late or to just to be LB cover as Farrell will be at LCB. Larson covers Farrell as backup LCB.
