ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

we get very limited exposure to your leagues (i.e no tv coverage), it would be good to follow past favourite players but the only way we can watch progress is either internet streams or ACL... in time i think it will get better exposure in australia

Most of those sums do not add up. Scum did not get 2.5mil for milligan. Wasnt it closer to 350k? If they got 2.5mil US then it would have easily been a new australian record transfer, at least for a-league. That is something Con would mention to feather his cap.

the 2.5m deal is from Zhu Jun, the boss of Shanhhai Shenhua, who told it to chinese media

here is a interview of Ryan Griffiths who is becoming a star in china

http://sports.sina.com.cn/j/2009-02-02/11014194615.shtml

and here are some of the general translation,

about how joel joins Beijing

1. Ryan suggests the club to do so, he tayped some matches of joel and showed it to the club on January 5th as he backes to china, the club decided to buy him later.
2. the club need joel as a winger to replace Honruras international Walter Matinez who left guo'an to join Spanish club Alaves.
3. they are brothers so the club believe they should cooperate well.

about the three griffiths
1. the two brothers are better tham him
2. he want Adam to join CSL too, He had offered a trail in Tianjin Teda but failed to sign a contract.

about the new season
1. as a joint, Ryan and Joel hopes to score 25 goals in total and bring the club what they want - the League title. last time Beijing win the league was in 1984, 25 years ago.
2. I know CSL better than joel so this time I'll be better than him.

why choose Guoan after the contract with Liaoning finished
1. Guo'an is a powerhouse club & I like the style of the team
2. It's very comfortable living here, the stadium is only 5 minutes away from the headquarter of Guo'an and ryan could live with his family everyday.

about future
If I can I would like to stay at Guo'an until I retire from football

我在中国生活了两个赛季,已经能够掌握平常的生活用语,如果我自己一个人去超市买东西,一点问题都没有。

LOL I can't imagine any Griffith speaking Chinese, I thought it was bogan-proofed
