ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Are we going to get another Mile??

Be interesting to see if this becomes reality:

Must admit my first thought was "not very likely", but if, as the article says, he and Lawrie go way back... that's at least one factor that makes me think twice.

Actually I think I read somewhere that some bad doctor has twelve clones of one person on the go as we speak.  So I'll figure we'll know in a few months when they all pop out.

Of course the flaw is we'll have to wait twenty years, but then we could have a team of Mile's.

Mariners for 2029!

Who plays right mid ...Elrich or Mile

if we get the sterj i am sure he will either play in the attacking mid role or up front

Up front IMO alongside Matty if we play 4-4-2

Elrich has a lot to do to be worthy of a starting spot, depending on Lawrie's formation I'd imagine the wing positions will be a battle between Elrich, Caceres and Kwas.

Should we sign a player like Sterjovski a 4-2-3-1 formation could work well?

Mile (Jedinak) did the work of two men in a 4-4-2.

A 4-2-3-1 would just about cover the gap.

Going on people we have now (i.e. assuming no new signings) and not including anyone whose contract is up (because nobody knows who's here next year)

          Danny
Porter Boogs Wilko Pedj
      Hutch Huke
Elrich Caceres Kwasnik
          Simon

That's workable, but a long way short of ideal.

Hutch is way short of form, so he'd want to have a good pre-season but I'd also like to see us sign someone else for that spot. Same for Caceres. Frankly, same for Elrich, though he's shown some good signs in his AFC CL appearances. Ideally, we'd have workable cover for every position.

Sterj could play striker, RM or AM in that setup, and would put a lot of pressure on the other boys.

That is arguably the best side we could put out... but the backs with Hutch playing in front ..man we could be in for a poor year...we desperately need something at the back and another defensive mid ... Its to early to judge Elrich he has played less than a handful of games..

it would be a positive if we undertook to pay him in return for him playing only for us.

In light of recent events including but not limited to our current losing streak and loss of players, it is my personal belief that a move such as this to bring a player of that calibre to CCM would more than adequately raise our prospects of competing for top position in the upcoming season.
