Andrea Merenda?

I was just wondering what has happened to Andrea Merenda?
When he signed for a short spell i thought he would have made a immediate impact?
but i havent heard much since his arrival.

yeah i never heard how long the deal was for it just said on the CCM website that he has a short term deal. i would have liked to see what sort of italian magic he can do. might go early to watch the youth league game and see what his deal is. (thats if im not drinking myself silly in the kendall)

he did play in the youth

didn't do enough in that game to displace anyone in our current midfield

lawrie sees him on a daily basis so is a better judge on whether he can play first team than anyone else

has another chance in youth this week

There was an article in the papes about him recently - can't remember where. He was saying how much he loved Australia and he really liked that the Central Coast was a family club. His qoute was that they people went to the footy in Italy to fight but they went for fun in Australia.  He hopes to sign a long term deal.

With all due respect Mick why sign him on a short term contract if u aint gunna play him. Its kinda like bozza not playing at all one his contract. If he was a well known player we would be crying blue murder. All our top players come to our club unknown and didnt get paid for it Eg Simon and Mile.

Mile might be off to he socceroos squad, so if mile goes he would be ideal player you wanna see how good he is chuck him in this game our biggest of the year so far.

As we get injuries we need cover, Lawrie obviously wants a full squad, if he was good enough Lawrie would have him in the first team.

exactly, as injury cover and as we have been pretty good on that front lately he will have to be patient

May get a run if Lawrie feels that Jedi needs to come off and prepare for the Socceroos match? Although it's been a long time I've seen a club coach help a national coach out by benching one of the club's better players, lol.

Maybe Merenda would be on the bench for the senior team as cover for Mile?
