Hi All,

As discussed thought it would be tidier having travel arrangements in one place where we can all keep each other informed of flight deals/ promos and as mentioned by @priorpeter Tour packages when they come to pass. Also It would be great not just for the tour groups but for all to have a meeting place prior to the game for drinks and shenanigans!!

Personally I'm looking to Japan, research last night led me to the following price guides
- Kobe 26th November (located closest to Osaka)
QANTAS to Tokyo- $1350 midweek departure and return are better pricing
JAL to Tokyo- $1300 as above but return flights are very full
Jetstar direct to Osaka- $1300 once you add everything on but plenty of seat availability
ANA to Osaka via Tokyo- $1280 best value as it includes flights to and from Osaka with the main leg being out of Tokyo.
***All Tokyo only flights would require you to either fly (1hr 20mins) to Osaka or Shinkansen which to Kobe (3hrs 30mins) for around $120 each way.

-Kawasaki 18th February (located 1 hour via train from centre of Tokyo)
All airlines are almost identical in adding $200-$300 dollars on the airfares listed above. It is Ski season in Japan and Aussies flock there so fares reflect this.

Are these packages dependant on certain number of people for each different game/tour? Lets say 3 people want to go to the Shandong game, would the tour go ahead.

Did some more study on the Feb Kawasaki game and if you don't mind a small layover, Singapore Airlines is ridiculously cheap at $950 return. All SAL flights (not Scoot) ANA next best at Mid $1200 but obviously direct. Both into Haneda Airport rather the Narita Airport which saves 45mins into Tokyo itself

I found cheaper on Phillipines Air.. but my husband nearly choked on that suggestion 😂

Hey mate,
I’ve just confirmed the price for MD1 tour is locked in for those who book and pay by 27 August.
The ground operator can only hold the rooms for us until 28 August, as there is a public holiday in China in mid sept so hotels book out quickly and prices jump.

I’ll put a post up with some more info shortly.
