ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

That is the Question? After 5 years of having a strong and reliable coach in our midst a coach that new what job had to be done on the field have we delved into something that is about to fall back in our face. After all of the strong work in setting up associations with clubs in our region. will it be ruined by some stupidity and brash action by the incumbert lets hope not i'll let u decide for yourself. Do read on if you are interested.

    1. recent ccmariners vs central coast select side( Matchpitch labelled as cowpaddock )(match report pulled from publication as it was too damning) towards central coast football re pluim park
    2. scheduled match ccmariners Vs Newcastle Jets (match abandoned due to state of the pitch after pitch inspection from coaching staff) u tell me the most luscious green flat level pitch on the central coast ?. Apparently reported that the match was cancelled due to ccmariners having a few light injuries. Meanwhile further north Jets seething as match cancelled and now they will be short of a scheduled run.
    3. Apparently the national youth league are meant to be playing up to 5 matches on Budgewoi's Frank Millington Way Field in the upcoming A-League Youth League.
After the result of point 2 we had either iron out our problems now or we are going to be in for a very long 3 year reign.

Lets get it right guys sort it out please dont burn to many bridges that have taken to long to build.
If we cant be crowd pullers there will be no team no support in a corporate sense the list goes on.

+1 for FFC - why should we be concerned about the Jest's preseason? f**k them. Mariners have looked out for themselves and made a decision.

Pluim Park has well documented problems and yes, the pitch was very slippery for that game.

The last six months the Mariners have made all the right noises, and finally delivering what we have asked of them. Two canceled matches and a pitch report (which one are you even referring to?) does not undo all this great work.

What's your real agenda mate?

I am no Arnie flag waver but I don't see a problem with our coach bringing a level of professionalism to the coast by way of taking a stand on the state of the pitches by saying sorry there just not up to standard.........Maybe we just might get them improved but if we keep trotting out and accepting them they will never change?

I don't understand what you're talking about.

+1

I dont understand either.

Looks likes Arnie expects better for his team and we are no longer a team that "puts up" with shite. Untill the situation at Pluim costs something nothing will be done about it.

Reports of his blow up at BT when told he could only have 1/2 the pitch to train on may indicate that he is a pro and wont accept 2nd best.

not a bad thing at all

Yep, one and only post by this so called "rekabs" dude - or S.Baker spelt backwards if I'm not mistaken. If you've spent 5 years with such a "strong and reliable coach" then why the one and only post in 5 years? Smells like multi or troll to me.

Personally VERY happy that Arnold as a coach will put his players needs ABOVE any desire to be liked by local groundsmen and associations - let alone by a rival clubs management. A coach should fight for his players and their needs. This makes me very happy. Not pissed off or concerned.

I would however be concerned by an individual, association or committee that can't handle being told that a lumpy, slippery pitch, is a lumpy slippery pitch. Time to get honest and harden the f**k up or we'll only be slowing our clearly needed development. Does anyone really argue that Pluim is a state of the art facility with top playing surfaces??

Anyhow, good stuff. I really like how this thread turned out. KUTGW rekabs.
