ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

The Stajcic Era, a Partnership of desperates or a Marriage Made in Heaven?

Not so sure - I lost count of the number of time Stensness gave the ball away with no pressure on him. He also could easily have picked up a yellow a few times with hands all over his opponent. Certainly more deserving of a yellow than Ziggy.
Agree I thought Stensness was worse too. He routinely made horrible passes to put us back under pressure. It felt like way more than Melling. This lead to Melling being monstered by Ibini and Miller

Stensness pass targeting is way off every 2nd week ( I may be being generous) ...as for Melling, well, his little bloke is bonza when his watching dad from up in the railway stand, as for his “skills” zero consistency at all ...as for Staj is it him or Shaun picking the run out squad?

I would have thought Staj would be balancing trying to win a game or two for the fans and club as the season ends and seeing what we have on our books that may or may not be worth keeping. It may be that Melling, Fox and co have worked hard in the COVID disruption and he’s giving them an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities along with the young lads upfront? Any thoughts? I’d say he’s got at least one eye (possibly both) already on next season...

Id say he most definitely has an eye on next season. With the reduced media deals and another team joining the comp there’s a fair chance fringe players and youth will be relevant. Better to give some game time now than to overpay or keep the wrong player.

I prefer not to get upset on this forum but I will on this occasion. That is an ignorant and ill-informed comment.

I am of the belief that what he achieved for the women's game is not to be ignored, his firing as the Matilda's coach was very speculative and harsh. Football is football, no matter the gender, and even though this season hasn't been fantastic I am still of the belief that Staj is the best man for the job.

Yes. And your opinion is that WeeMac is still great. He isn't, he is on big coin and is not good enough to play 90 mins anymore.
Bling Freddy can see that......not just Staj.
Judas has mugged CCM, whoever signed him (wasnt Staj) needs to be ahamed of themslves. Thankfully we have seen the last of him.
Simon wont go so easily sadly but so much shit to get rid of in the off season.
Mind you - Staj plays Stens so he isnt a great judge of footballers

Who gets in ahead of him in your mind?
Just about anyone who isnt him. There is a young kid in Monty's side who plays CB or DM and is light years ahead of him (help me out someone) Wears #4 usually. Dreadlocks last time i saw him. Wonderful touch, quick too and brings the ball out like Sains.
