ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

I hope so (especially as the name I was told as the replacement is a great bloke but defo not CEO material)

I'm not saying anymore as obviously people aren't fond of this rumour. I originally asked if anyone had heard any other or similar rumours. I never said it was 100% accurate but if it's out there, surely we should be able to talk about it.

As I understand is Shaun is down to only 2 or 3 days a week... secondly can you imagine anyone even a quarter decent taking the role on... especially on a part time basic...

I don't think this is the case but its far more likely Shaun would find another position rather than MC replace him... If Shaun was leaving I assume it would be public knowledge...

We dont need Great Blokes. We need a true Football man with good business acumen. I think Shaun is too valuable for the club to lose him. But we DO need a director of Football type to oversee all Football related operations/appointments.

We have a guy like that already employed... Ken Schembri.
He did a great job at Blacktown.

That's a good idea Wombat. I wonder if we're restricted in any way due to the (ex) Hyundai agreement or anything else.

And most of the clubs in England charge parents an arm and a leg for their kids to be match day mascots.
Hopefully that rip off will not catch on here and we stick to the one kid, one player thing we have now.
We'd have to being the Community Club.

He is not universally respected and I believe is quite introverted so not ideal. I don't know him so am happy to be corrected.
I`ve known Ken over 20 years, although not a personal friend, I do respect the work he did for years at Blacktown City.
He took them to the top of the then Superleague and kept them there for years.
He was the top administrator in the League at that time (full time employee to) and he ran the licenced club as well.

Apart from that he also had an extensive knowledge of junior and youth league football.
To say he is introverted really surprises me, as I`ve always known him to be extremely confident and outgoing.
Within the circles I was involved in back then (I went to every Federation Superleague, NSW Womens Football and NSW Amateur meeting for 4 years)
he was well respected by everyone...

SC, i'm only hearing it second hand and you cant please everybody and sometimes people have an axe to grind..... BUT.....I'm told he is not an Orator but is much happier talking one on one.

My source was a big fan of Ben Cahn and Monty but is NOT a KS believer.

Blacktown City is a very different fish to a HAL side. BUT without meeting him or seeing him run a few sessions i cannot make an informed comment.
