ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Practical ways to support CCM into a better future

Given that our problems are largely caused by MC's unwillingness to either fund it or sell, I doubt he would spring for new stands at Pluim (its also a flood zone so construction might be tricky?).

Thought about this today and I wanted to know if this is possible

We're clearly not making money from playing games at CCS. The club is paying massive fees (to the council?) to use it each week and is only getting pitiful crowds.

MC; build a couple of grandstands at Pluim Park so the capacity sits around 5,000-10,000, wherever the value lies, and play the home games at a boutique stadium that the club owns so that it's all profit, the only fee they'd need to pay is to keep it kempt.

I think we'd all enjoy the games more at a smaller stadium because of the better atmosphere it brings. The FFA Cup games at boutique stadiums I attended were fantastic as far as atmosphere goes, especially the one against Brisbane.

I think if we did that and supporters enjoyed the matchday experience we could start bringing back the supporters to the club and also bring in some profit as opposed to paying massive money to play games at CCS.

I don't know how you guys feel, but that's my two cents.
COE..... The redheaded step child. Was meant to have stands and be able to take 1500? Bout all well need here on in.

Didnt they build the current structure with foundations able to have a stand built on top? a 3,500 main stand. Hills/ Terracing all around will take you to about 8/10k. More than enough

I gather it would be cheaper than paying to play at CCS?
Would depend on how long you were going to commit to the arrangement and the exact work required. Parking would be an absolute shitfight so there may be council red tape they can’t easily solve.

Still think fixing up Pluim would be cheaper and more profitable for the club but I'm not one for economics so I'm happy to be proven wrong.

Corporate boxes required.

10 maybe 12 40Foot old shipping containers, they coast at best $ 500.00 each, $ 6, 000.00 per fit out. Put them on top of road and land fill...

You can then use the strength of the chipping containers to hang a roof off.... in a 10 to 12 K stadium it can work...

No land fill allowed. It is a flood zone.

Sounds right for the Mariners. Shipping containers as corporate boxes.
Must bring your own esky of grog. Club will warm up party pies in the microwave if you want to bring them.

A decent one 6m long costs about $3,500-$4,000 fit-out at least $10,000- each
