ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

No we didnt - "we pussies" paid for a membership. Those who go and support the Charlesworth regime are the real traitors to the coast. You need to have a long look at yourself. Supporting Charlesworth and Anton - you must be so proud

Possibly your most stupid post ever.

Statement:
Nothing is going to change next year or the year after. MC isn't going to lift the investment in the club because he is looking to sell to somebody who will relocate the club - so why send good money into something that he's getting rid of within the next few years?

I don't have any evidence, for this, but it's a conclusion I've just come to.

Am I crazy, or have I stumbled across his grand plan?
Crazy gets my vote.

Staj seems angrier than usual. I wonder what's driving that.
Hopefully the club isn't having discussions about termination....

Geez, their 2nd...that was an appalling tackle from RT. He slid in like somebody who's never played soccer before. Don't show your back, FFS
Stens and Kim also at fault for being so bloody lazy. Football games are 90+ minutes, do they not know this?
Sometimes I wish somebody was out there getting stuck into our blokes when they start being afraid of work.
Their 3rd, Clisby was poor there - ball went just past his feet for the pass, no lunge, and he stood off to the side when he needed to come in
If they sack staj i'll mail in my membership and never attend a ccm game again

Thought Staj got his tactics 100% spot on but was let down by his players - Miller had a shocker and gifted the 1st goal. DDS, Silvera and Oar showed why they need to be shown the door ASAP. The stories about SS attitude seems to be reflected in how he plays - off to a NSWPL2 club near you soon
Tongyik wasnt shit and fair play to Clisby, he went alright.
Tongyik was top shelf

Deserved better got nothing. The usual story. Unlike most of the armchair critics here I thought the starting 11 were excellent tonight apart from the first and last 5 mins.

In the first 5 the team seemed unsure and allowed themselves to be dazzled by SFC's one touch football. That first goal came from a dreadful mistake by and was caused by a lack of conviction and confidence by the player concerned. Unfortunate.
For the next 80 mins I thought we held our own and for a fair amount of the time dominated.
Sydney did not lift their foot of the gas, our players got into them and bustled them out of it. Great tactics by Staj.

in the final 5 minutes we were caught on the break which is always on the cards when you are behind and pushing everyone forward. Unfortunate again but it happens.

I thought everyone in the starting 11 had great games, and I include DDS, who seems to have become a whipping boy around here. he worked his butt off, was in Sydney players faces all night and probably covered more ground than most getting back to help the defence. They all made mistakes at different times, some more costly than others. But I will not be critical of anyone on tonight's performance.

No comment on any of the subs.

MOM to Stens closely followed by Kim.

I would like to say that if we play like that against any other team in the comp we would win and we should, but without scoring goals it will not happen. And it has been so for the last 5 years.

Also I will keep shouting it, Harold is a winger not a striker

Can’t say the players don’t try.
And can see the style they are going for, but it’s failed again.
We are playing it out pretty nicely most the time but that front third getting stuck around the 18 yard box seems very familiar
Lacking the spark and confidence still.

The stats were interesting. We had more possession, put more than twice as many balls into the area (37 v 18) but still came away without a single goal.
The midfield, and largely also the defence, worked themselves into the ground, resulting in the tiredness that lead to the two late goals conceded.
However, as usual, the players of the front third let us down. They are shit. The odds of them having an ounce of goal scoring talent between them is about he same as rolling 300 sixes in a row. Near f**kin zilch.

This wasn’t just on a striker or a couple of players, no one wanted to shoot or if they did didn’t put anywhere near enough on it. I was happy when Nisbet took a shot even though it went over, our blokes seem to have forgotten the old lesson of ‘you miss every shot you don’t take’

Can't understand all the hate on DDS.I thought he put in a sterling shift and was always looking for the ball.Late in the game he tracked and fouled Buhagiar when it looked as if he would get away.Tongyik did miss that tackle but otherwise had a strong game.Stensness had his best game for months and Clisby his best of the season especially as he had Rhyan Grant to contend with.
Kim also had a strong game as did Ziggy.Barbarousses and Le Fondre were very quiet-it was their subs who sparkled in the last 10 minutes( young Tillio is much better than Silvera).
I have watched football since the early sixties and have seen many clubs go through lean seasons so am happy to keep following CCM and attending as many games as I can. I would hate for the club to be moved to another location but fear this might happen.
