ccmfans.net is the Central Coast Mariners fan community, and was formed in 2004, so basically the beginning of time for the Mariners. Things have changed a lot over the years, but one thing has remained constant and that is our love of the Mariners. People come and go, some like to post a lot and others just like to read. It's up to you how you participate in the community!

If you want to get rid of this message, simply click on Join Now or head over to https://www.ccmfans.net/community/register/ to join the community! It only takes a few minutes, and joining will let you post your thoughts and opinions on all things Mariners, Football, and whatever else pops into your mind. If posting is not your thing, you can interact in other ways, including voting on polls, and unlock options only available to community members.

ccmfans.net is not only for Mariners fans either. Most of us are bonded by our support for the Mariners, but if you are a fan of another club (except the Scum, come on, we need some standards), feel free to join and get into some banter.

Mariners sell supporters short.... again

hmm - its pretty piss poor - Sydney FC are the team in that area (yes I know all the other issues) but really its not our area. Will have to seriously consider if its worth a family membership this year as 2 Adults and 2 Kids and a Student are not cheap and if we have games taken away from us its makes it harder to justify...

maybe wait and see what the ccmfc have to say 1st yeah, rather than all be neg-heads and look for any chance to bag our club out?

Why are the supporters again being ripped off. Word has it 2 home games to be played at Parramatta Stadium.

talk about jumping to conclusions and bagging out the club

the games being played elsewhere are because the ground surface needs major works

look at the draw and the block of away games around them meaning the stadium has many weeks to get our stadium

not ideal and probably a cop out by stadium but to blame the mariners is a joke

Not good, the extra games should have been at Gosford, although as yet we do not know the reason!  :redcard:

Once done it suits me of course, except I have to drive, no drinking - but they better have that as an add-on only to a season ticket!

At least for the Bay it will be an away home game!  :innocent:

I wonder if the W-League will play a double header at the second game.

Well it sucks but not a whole lot anyone can do. Hopefully - and i know im asking alot - but hopefully the FFA or CCM can organise busses or something for these games?

Which 2 games are those?

It blows - worst part is, we're going to get pisspoor crowds there, but those games will count towards our crowd average.

R5 - Friday 4 September 8pm v Glory - definite poor crowd
R13 - Saturday 31 October 7pm v Adelaide - could be a better one (BT Stadium should put on buses if Mick's reason is correct)

Why can every other club play games at home and not have to move because of the ground. Bluetongue only has a few league games. SFS has heaps and Sydney not moving their games too Parramatta. And it is only a rumour the games are going their, but better for the club to know the supporters are not happy, before its set in concrete.

Or like a free train trip with every ticket.

It will be interesting to see who came up with this idea. Cause it could work if the people of western sydney are willing to support us. It wont if they dont.

the upside is the beers are cheaper at parra leagues and in the ground, down side is that the ground is shite for viewing

i'd very happily blame the club. see the draw doc - under round 5 notes it says:

Central Coast Mariners are looking at opportunities of taking their home games out of Gosford for two games.

If resurfacing was required, they could have said that.

We move a Round 5 game, play at home in Round 7, play at home in Round 10, and then play at some other place in Round 13. That doesn't make sense for resurfacing.

You'd think that if they're doing work at Round 5, then the work would be continuing over a period or there'd be a settling in period so the other moved match would be Round 7 and there'd be a layoff from Round 3 to Round 10. Instead we've got two matches moved against low drawing opposition hoping to cash in somewhere else.

Instead, 'looking at opportunities' stinks of screwing supporters and looking for cash. It's no better than the NRL, with mercenary teams playing wherever they'll get a paycheque. f**k them sideways - they should cop a bollocking for this.

If indeed what Dibo is saying turns out to be the case then that is nothing short of disgraceful.  Are we going to be renamed the "Central Coast, North Shore and North West Mariners" whilst they're at it??

Mmm, after some thought:

The surface of our stadium is bad. If it needs resurfacing, a la the Newcastle International Sports Centre does each year, then it has to be done.

None of us know exactly where these games will be played. Canberra is an easy target, great surface, good ground, 1 flight only for the Barrel Boys and the Glory Girls. Not, however, good for us, a 4 hour trip from the Coast.

In a country NSW venue, with a rectangular stadium (thinking Carrington Park in Bathurst or Apex Park in Dubbo), this means another big trip for us and 2 flights for the away teams. Could get a decent crowd, especially on a warm night in Dubbo, cue up Hallowe'en against the Barrel Boys. A "Back in Black" theme for this night is a MUST, btw.

Parramatta, SFS, and, gulp, the Newcastle International Sports Centre are feasible options for players and fans. Make whatever comment about New Lambton you like, it is vastly improved, and, it is close to us.

Something that bothers me, though, is that some teams have 14 home games. Surface issues aside, it is a BIG CALL to move 2 of our home games, especially when you consider that we only have 13 to begin with.

Archie Fraser said that these games are still being considered, they COULD actually be played in Gosford. All in all, I personally would MUCH prefer every home game at our place. Playing on a cow paddock in Gosford is better than a billiard table in Bruce or East Dubbo.

we play rubbish at home

can we play every home game away plz?

all jokes aside, i eagerly await the press release from ccmfc. first with the removal of the post match function, then the poor performances, now if what dibo said comes true also, ccmfc will struggle for fans in v5 imo

an explanation very soon plz ccm

I presume that they did not comment at the launch, but Canberra is not in the FFA media guide as one of the grounds, while Parramatta is. Not saying it won't be elsewhere, but until there is any official comment Parramatta is the most likely.
